WinPower Revamps Heating System at Enacol’s Fuel Terminal

WinPower, S.A., in collaboration with Construções Metálicas de Cabo Verde, has completed a comprehensive heating system installation and revamp at Enacol’s Fuel Terminal in Praia, Santiago Island. Commissioned by Enacol – a leading fuel and lubricant distributor in Cabo Verde – this project represents a significant enhancement in the terminal’s operational efficiency and reliability.

This project involved the supply and installation of critical equipment, including a thermal oil boiler, advanced circulation pumps, valves and instrumentation. A central aspect of the project was the full revamping of an existing boiler, transforming it into a reliable backup system to ensure uninterrupted operations during maintenance or unexpected power outages. This modernization effort was designed to optimize the heating system, ensuring its role in fuel storage and distribution.

The revamped heating system is now fully operational, and the project increased the terminal’s ability to store fuel efficiently but also reduced energy consumption, minimized operational risks and improved distribution processes. These improvements are in line with Enacol’s goals to maintaining its leadership in the energy sector by adapting to modern and more sustainable solutions.
