WinPower is an engineering company with more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector, and with several references of power generation projects in Europe, Africa, and America, providing services for the energy transition of its customers and partners. One of the strategic goals of the organization is to give an opportunity to engineers who want to participate in disruptive projects on the energy sector and build new opportunities within the WinPower Team mostly in the sectors of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and MV Substations (up to 30 kV).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Experience on the Energy Sector (minimum of 5 years);
  • Knowledge of project management processes (contract management with clients and suppliers, budget control, teams and quality management procedures);
  • Good planning skills, proficient in the use of MS Project software;
  • Documentary organization skills and good level of writing and domain of text processing tools;
  • Dynamic attitude, proactive, responsible, goal oriented and willingness to meet stakeholders’ expectations;
  • Ability to communicate, planning and organize teams, defining suitable strategies;
  • Risk management skills;

  • Identifying project goals and scope;

MISSION

Join WinPower’s Engineering team, developing Energy solutions for Power Generation and Energy Transition, according to Client’s requirements and specifications, applicable standards and internal quality procedures.

Contribute to the performing, follow-up and implementation of Energy projects (electrical specialty) in industrial environment (Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, with thermal or renewable origin). Participate in the conception and elaboration of detailed design projects.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Integrated Master in Electrical Engineering, Energy sector;
  • Training in the Energy Sector, namely in Electrical Machines, Power Transformers, HV, MV and LV grids, electrical protections, general electrical installations, automation and instrumentation & command;
  • Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team in operational environment;
  • Dynamic attitude, proactive, responsible and willingness to learn;
  • Documental organization and knowledge and ability to analyse and prepare project documents (technical notices, technical specifications, spreadsheets, electrical calculations, material lists, bill of quantities, evaluation of errors/omissions in third-party projects, etc.);
  • Our preference is given to candidates with some knowledge of electrical calculation and technical drawing software (ETAP, PSS®SINCAL, Eplan, PVSyst, Autocad, etc.);
  • Domain of Microsoft Office tools, with special relevance to Microsoft Excel;
  • Good level of writing and domain of text processing tools;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • Availability for national and international travel;
  • Up to 5 years of experience as electrical engineer.

WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY?

  • Carry out the design of engineering solutions in the energy area, according to the requirements, customer specifications and applicable standards;
  • Knowledge in Control Systems will be valued (platforms, equipment, architectures, communication protocols, electrical protection relays);
  • Coordinate activities and milestones with the Project Manager/Department Manager to ensure efficient project management;
  • Traveling to sites to supervise and follow up the activities and coordinate tasks and meetings at site;
  • Carry out interventions on site according to the needs of the assembly or commissioning of projects and/or installations;
  • Increase of autonomy to take engineering decisions through the projects development stage, well supported by the Department’s management;
  • Analyze the Client’s requirements and specifications to prepare offers and solutions in the energy sector;
  • Prepare technical offers in collaboration with the commercial team and participate in the development of new solutions in the energy market.

  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business and equipment needs;
  • Build and strengthen commercial relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders;
  • Develop comprehensive commercial proposals, incorporating technical and financial analyses tailored for client presentations;
  • Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and areas for growth;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial strategies with client needs and the company’s objectives;
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news and trends;
  • Analyse market data and produce reports to inform decision-making.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Recent graduate (Master’s Degree is highly valued) in Electrical Engineering, preferably with knowledge on the Energy sector;
  • Specialized in Renewable Energies, Energy Markets, Energy Production, Transport & Distribution (preferable);
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Dynamic, proactive and responsible attitude as well as eagerness to learn;
  • Knowledge of specialty software (such as AutoCAD or Solid Works) is valued;

WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY

  • Plan, monitor, control and manage all activities of the power plant’s O&M team;
  • Define requirements and establish KPIs for operation and maintenance;
  • Identify and manage project risks while overseeing the critical tasks of the power plant;
  • Carry out and oversee maintenance planning;
  • Seek the the best performance from both the power plant and the team;
  • Continuously balance the project’s demands in terms of time, cost, scope and quality. Regularly report the results and progress to Production Administration and Administration.

  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment and systems used in thermal power plants;
  • Experienced with commisioning, operation and maintenance activities;
  • Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in an operational and industrial environment (hands-on);
  • Knowledge of maintenance software;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken);
  • Available to work and travel abroad (mandatory).

  • Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for systems and equipment at the facilities, in accordance with manufacturer manuals and procedures;
  • Monitor operational parameters, identify anomalies, and propose solutions for their resolution (troubleshooting);
  • Coordinate energy management and facility KPIs;
  • Identify improvement and commercial opportunities, as well as risks, maintaining a strong relationship with Clients and Suppliers;
  • Adhere to QAS procedures and standards;
  • Manage calibration/certification of tools and equipment.
