4X BESS Projects: Strengthening Energy Infrastructure in Cabo Verde
From our standpoint Energy Storage is a fundamental step into energy transition and grid stability. As of this moment 4X (four) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, totalling 26M MW/26 MWh are being installed across four islands in Cabo Verde.
These systems will:
- Enhance grid stability, ensuring a more resilient and reliable energy supply.
- Reduce dependency on fossil fuels, contributing towards the energy transition and renewable energy goals in the country.
- Enable better integration of renewables, maximizing the efficiency and security of the electrical supply.
With completion expected by Q1 2026, these projects demonstrate WinPower’s expertise in delivering large-scale energy storage solutions.

The necessity for digital infrastructure that is both resilient and secure has put data centers on the top of WinPower’s investment priority. O&M solutions designed for these installations, that ensure uninterrupted power supply, efficiency, safety and risk mitigation will be crucial as these systems occupy a growingly relevant place in our society.
