WinPower attends the 2nd CPLP Energy Conference

WinPower, S.A. attended the 2nd Energy Conference of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), held on May 27–28 at the Estoril Congress Center, in Portugal.

The company was represented by Luís Mendes, CEO, Marco Henriques, Head of Energy Solutions, and Paulo Oliveira, Head of Commercial ES, at this strategic forum, which brought together decision-makers, public entities, investors and energy sector stakeholders from across CPLP countries.

Over the two-day conference, key topics shaping the future of energy in Lusophone countries were discussed, including financing the energy transition, ensuring universal access to energy, diversifying energy sources, investing in smarter and more resilient power systems, as well as advancing decarbonisation through hydrogen and energy efficiency.

The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with strategic partners, notably Bruno Lopes, Chairman of Cabeólica, with whom WinPower is currently developing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Cabo Verde. As part of this engagement, partners also had the opportunity to visit WinPower’s new facilities in Portugal.

WinPower believes that cooperation and collaboration are key drivers of the energy transition across Lusophone countries and remains committed to contributing actively to the development of sustainable, resilient and context-adapted energy solutions.
