WinPower, S.A. participated in “Conversas sobre… Gases Renováveis”, an event promoted by the Municipality of Coimbra in collaboration with Floene and held on 19 June at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho.
Dedicated to the role of biomethane and green hydrogen in the energy transition, the session brought together institutional representatives, companies, industry experts and decision-makers to discuss the contribution of renewable gases to a more sustainable, resilient and low-carbon energy model.
João Camões, Head of Hydrogen Business Unit at WinPower, represented the company in Panel I — “Renewable Gases in the Energy Transition” — contributing to the discussion on the strategic role of green hydrogen in accelerating decarbonisation and supporting the development of future-ready energy systems.
The session highlighted the importance of creating the technical, regulatory, infrastructural and market conditions required to expand the use of renewable gases and turn their potential into concrete solutions for territories, industries and communities.
For WinPower, the energy transition depends on cooperation between public entities, companies, research institutions and infrastructure operators, combined with the capacity to transform technical expertise and innovation into viable, long-term projects.
WinPower thanks the Municipality of Coimbra and Floene for the invitation and for promoting an important discussion on the future of renewable gases in Portugal.
