This project is aligned with the client’s goal to produce electricity for the national grid as an independent producer, using the local’s naturally abundant wind energy. With the implementation of upcoming BESS projects there is an expectation to increase renewable energy penetration rate from 20% to approximately 30% in the country, during 2025.

This project, will enhance energy transmission capacity to the grid, increasing the volume of available energy for consumption and boosting revenue through increased sales. Its scope includes the design, installation, and commissioning of the windfarm’s electrical balance of plant and a warehouse in Santiago, under a Turnkey EPC contract signed in November, 2024 and the works initiated on the same month.

Our Solution

The core infrastructure of this project comprises and overhead transmission line, medium voltage switchgear, protection systems and cable connections that will ensure the integration of the windfarm into the national grid. These components will enable the safe and efficient transmission of electricity generated by the windfarm to the Offtaker substation. 

The project is designed to establish a safe and efficient electrical connection, that meets contractual obligations, legal requirements and industry best practices.
