A new consulting project in the electricity sector of São Tomé and Príncipe has been awarded, marking WinPower, S.A.’s entry into a new market and the beginning of a collaboration with a new client and funding institution.

Within the framework of a consortium with LBC (Portugal) and Krypton (São Tomé and Príncipe), WinPower will be part of the team responsible for supporting the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe in the development of a structured and effective model for private sector participation in the operation and maintenance of the national electricity system.

The project is financed by the World Bank, under the Access to Clean Resilient Electricity (ACRE) programme, and aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce commercial losses, expand access to electricity, and strengthen the reliability and sustainability of the national energy infrastructure.

This project represents a significant step in consolidating WinPower’s expertise in island and isolated power systems, reinforcing its ability to operate in complex and demanding energy contexts. It also reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to contributing to the development of smarter, more resilient and sustainable energy solutions, in close collaboration with local and international partners.
