At the beginning of April, Winpower International, in partnership with DAMEX Germany, GmbH signed a contract with APUA – Antigua Public Utilities Authority, for conducting a Detailed Technical Audit of the 36MW Wadadli power plant, located in the Crabbs peninsula of the island of Antigua, one of the Caribbean region countries. The purpose of carrying out this technical audit is to provide APUA with detailed information for making decisions regarding the take-over of the power plant from its current operator (and contactor). This contract involves the project engineering review services, review of the operational technical documentation, physical inspection of power plant equipment and system status, its staff capabilities and also spare parts available stock. In the end, Winpower International and Damex Germany will provide a technical assessment report.
The power plant has six generating units (6 engines MAN 12V32/40, 6MW each) running on HFO (heavy fuel oil).
